Reader email with Col. Boylan (2 of 2)

Subject: The Boylan emails to me

This is the first email I received, note that the reply came 16
minutes after I sent my message.

Note also that the message ID on the mail you received is the next one
in sequence and that this message was sent 47 seconds after the
message to me denying all knowledge of the message to you.

The message ID sequence is actually the most telling, if you look at
the 'fake' and denial messages you will see that they match exactly.
They also match the message I received. This significantly narrows
down the scope for forgery. The only way that a fake message could
carry the same sequence ID would be if the recipient had recently
received an email from the same server.

It would be much more interesting for me if the message was indeed
fake. This is my field. The problem for me now however is that the
claim of a fake message has been raised and we will start to see real
attacks of this type.

I was thinking of holding off from this topic as the Col. appears to
be a danger to himself. Then I remembered what he has done to
Beauchamp.

Your threats to Greenwald have severely damaged both yourself and the
credibility of Gen Petraeus. As a press officer you should have
predicted the result of sending such a letter.

You appear unable to distinguish between partisan political activity
and the duties of a non political military. Your letter proves
Greenwald's point irrefutably.

Greenwald published your email complaining about his publishing the
last email you sent.

Your message sure looks threatening to me. You might not have intended
it to be so but that is certainly the effect.

You have made yourself the story. Someone leaked the hit pieces to
Malkin. You sure look like the most likely candidate to me.

Dangerous game to play. Congress could not put Rove up in front of a
committee and ask him if he was the source of his numerous leaks
because he was a political appointee. You have no such protection. Nor
can you claim that your activities as press officer are classified.

If you play a partisan game you make yourself a partisan target. Look
what happened to Plame.

I didn't send him an email today other than in response to a direct
question from him. I have told him it was not my email and have asked
them to take it down since it was not mine. Not playing a game and
since I have already been a victim of ID theft already, I am not
surprised something like this can happen. Taking issues here.
